A huge thanks to Jim Difalco for donating a 30 band controller for a prize for the SCX National Champion! The controller will be given to the winner of the race which is this coming Saturday at Great Traditions in Philly.

Dennis Faz of Whitey's Slot Car Boxes has come up with a gem for the SCX National Champion for 2009! A hand made special edition slot box has been made that will be awarded to the Champion this year!

I'd like to thank Dennis for the donation of this very special box. Everyone please visit Whitey's website and check out the selection of boxes they have for sale. If you don't have a box you should get one! They rock!

Here is the tenative schedule for the SCX regional race on Oct. 17, 2009.
Open practice - 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Hand outs and Tech - 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
***9:00 AM for those that are ready
***10:00 AM is the latest that we will give out handouts.
***We will allow a few minutes practice on the motors during tech. Time to be determend by how quick tech goes (2 - 5 Min.) per person.
Racing will start no later than 12:00 Noon. Hopefully sooner
We will run 4 heats per person with the time to be determined by the # of entries. I hope to be able to run 15 minute heats.
We will run the RX-42B motor with Slot.It, S2 tires. Either PT17 or PT18.
The race will be run between 12.8 and 13.8 volts to be determened the day of the race.

This year's SCX National Championship will feature the GT cars and the racers will be allowed more freedom to do modifications to car to suit their taste. See the complete rules at this link on SCXWorldWide.com.

Hundreds of folks who visited the Greenberg Trainshow at the Valley Forge Convention Center got to see all the action close up.
